I love color contact lense. I've tried many colors from different brands. I did discover that, while certain colored contacts are very appealing to my eyes, some look fake or horrendous. After much trial and error, the rules for selecting the right color lenses for your eye were established.

Color contacts for subtle change

The best contacts for blue-colored eyes are aqua or green. Why would someone with blue eyes want colored lenses? Blue enhancement lenses can make a big difference to your appearance. While your eyes may still be blue, your eyes appear brighter. My own blue eyes are mine and I love to wear blue tinted contacts. My favorite Acuvue 2 colors is Ocean Blue.

Naturally grey eyes can also be helped by using blue tints. The color appears not as intensive blue as over blue eyes, more a blue-grey, but it looks very natural and attractive. Acuvue Colors and Freshlook Dimensions are the best choices.

Green contacts are great over blue eyes. This is because jade green is mixed in with your natural colour.

Color contact lens for dramatic changes

Optically tinted lenses will make brown eyes appear dramatically different. Acuvue Colors Opaque, Freshlook Colorblends, and Illusions by Ciba Vision are all good options.

Honey color contacts will suit those who have blue eyes or are grey. These lenses can make you appear warmer. You can also enhance lens town the effect with natural colors and a warm-colored lipstick.

Color contact lens safety

Contact lenses can be used to improve eye sight. You already know how to insert them and how you can care for them. You can ask your doctor to allow you to wear cosmetic color contacts.

The most important rule of all is that colored contact lenses will block oxygen supply more than prescription contacts. In fact the color part doesn't let any oxygen through. It is important to avoid wearing color lenses longer than 6-8 hours a days for your eyes health. And you should never sleep in them.
